WITHDRAWALS & TRANSFERS

POLICY FOR CLASSES (Two or more sessions)

If a student must drop out of a class, 100% of tuition will be refunded as long as JC Print Room is notified 7 days or more prior to the start date of the class. If a student notifies JC Print Room less than 7 days prior, then the student will be given a credit that can be applied to a future class.

AFTER class start date: JC Print Room policy allows students to make up missed classes, but will issue no refunds. To withdraw from a course, please email jcprintroom@gmail.com. If JC Print Room and student come to an agreement, student may attend a future session of the class. Students who are in the process of taking a class and decide that they do not want to continue, forfeit their remaining classes, without refund.

POLICY FOR WORKSHOPS (one-session events, Print Party, etc.)

If a student withdraws from a workshop with less than 24 hours notice, then no credit for future events or refunds can be issued.

If a student withdraws from a workshop within 72 hours of the class start, a credit for future events will be issued.

If a student withdraws from a workshop with more than 72 hours notice, a full refund can be issued.

CANCELLATION POLICY
IF JC Print Room has to delay the start date of a class due to Low enrollment: Student will be emailed of the delay of class start; this is the students’ opportunity to cancel enrollment. However, if the student ultimately agrees to another class or a rescheduled date they are committed to that section with no opportunity for refund unless the class has to be rescheduled again. If student misses some of the rescheduled classes they will receive a credit to make up the missed class in the future.

IF JC Print Room has to delay the start date of a class due to teacher illness/building or weather emergency: The class will shift back until the teacher is no longer sick and/or the building/weather emergency is resolved. If student misses some of the rescheduled classes they will receive a credit to make up the missed class in the future.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY

I acknowledge and recognize the inherent risks of participating in the Programs and Activities of JC Print Room and assume all responsibility and risks inherent to this participation. I, for myself, my heirs, and legal representatives, knowingly and voluntarily agree to release all liability and agree not to sue, hold harmless, or responsible JC Print Room, including but not limited to employees, owners, board members, and resident artists, from all claims, responsibility and liability for all damages and injury (including paralysis and death) to persons (including myself) or property (personal and otherwise) resulting from the contact with or use of tools, materials, equipment, facility, or from any other cause whatsoever while at JC Print Room or participating in JC Print Room Activities and Programs. This includes claims of negligence, resulting in any physical or psychological injury (including paralysis and death), illness, damages, or economic or emotional loss I may suffer because of my participation in Activities or Programs, including travel to, from and during.

Personal Property: JC Print Room will do all that is reasonably within its power to provide a safe and secure environment but cannot guarantee the security of personal property at all times. I understand that protection of my personal property from theft, misuse, misplacement, damage or destruction and any other circumstance that may cause deterioration, depreciation, or need for replacement is my sole responsibility. I agree to hold JC Print Room and all Agents harmless from any and all claims, including attorney’s fees or damage to my personal property that may occur as a result of my participation in this program, including travel to, from and during the program. If JC Print Room or Agents incurs any of these types of expenses, I agree to reimburse these parties.

Medical history: In case of emergency or accident please state any allergies, current use of medications, pre-existing conditions or mental health / medical information or history that is important for JC Print Room to know in order to provide for a safe environment for all participants and staff in JC Print Room activities and programs. If I need medical treatment, I agree to be financially responsible for any costs incurred as a result of such treatment. I am aware and understand that I should carry my own health insurance.

I am 18 years or older. I understand the legal consequences of signing this document, including (a) releasing JC Print Room and all Agents from all liability, (b) promising not to sue JC Print Room and all Agents, (c) and assuming all risks of participating in Activities and Programs, including travel to, from and during Activities and Programs.

I understand that this document is written to be as broad and inclusive as legally permitted by the State of New Jersey. I agree that if any portion is held invalid or unenforceable, I will continue to be bound by the remaining terms.

I am entering into this agreement at my own risk and in full understanding of the inherent risks of a professionally equipped art studio. The Undersigned acknowledges that they have read, understand, and will abide by all rules and regulations set forth by JC Print Room and/or management.

PHOTO RELEASE

I consent that JC Print Room has full and unrestricted publishing and use rights for any photographs (digital or print) taken on the JC Print Room property by JC Print Room employees in which my image or any of my materials or art, either brought in or created/generated at JC Print Room, appears. I hereby release, discharge, and agree to hold harmless JC Print Room from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the taking of said picture or in any subsequent processing thereof, as well as any publication thereof, including without limitation any claims for libel or invasion of privacy.
