Print Party | Sat. March 8 | 1:00 - 4:30 PM

$55.00

Join us for Print Party, an open printmaking session where you can try your hand at printmaking in a fun, collaborative setting. No experience is needed and all materials are provided!

Instructor Nick D’Ornellas will guide you through the process of creating a collagraph, which is a versatile printing method where a textured plate is inked and passed through a press. Different textures hold varying amounts of ink, producing different tonal effects. Materials such as wallpaper, leaves, fabrics, tapes, and threads, among others, can be adhered to the plate for texture.

Nick will demonstrate how to create a variety of prints using a single plate, create gradients with ink rolling, and explore the diverse textural qualities achievable with graphite paper. Students are encouraged to incorporate their own source materials brought to class, in addition to a variety of materials provided.

Please note: By enrolling you accept JC Print Room’s Education Policy
